Check out this sunset over Palmdale, California last night. Some excellant colors among the jet contrails. 

This female western fence lizard was watching the outcome of a fight between the 2 males in the pic below.  

Here are 2 western fence lizards I found fighting over a nearby female. Notice the brightness of their colors and how they "puff" up to make themselves look bigger. They would go in circles, lashing their tails. The one on the left was the eventual winner.
